Brighter Day Flower Farm Is Coming to Sota Dough Bread Pickups
Something really exciting is blooming this summer.
I’m so excited to share that Brighter Day Flower Farm will now be offering seasonal flower bouquets during select bread pickups with Sota Dough.
When Karen from Sota Dough shared the Instagram post introducing Brighter Day Flower Farm as a guest at bread pickup, it honestly felt surreal. This little flower dream has mostly lived in garden beds, seed trays, notebooks, and quiet early mornings up until now. Seeing it shared publicly by another small business I genuinely admire felt incredibly meaningful.

Flowers + Sourdough = A Pretty Wonderful Combination
If you haven’t tried Sota Dough yet, their sourdough is truly some of the best around. Bread pickup days already feel warm and welcoming, and I’m honored that Brighter Day bouquets will get to be part of that experience this season.
As long as the growing season cooperates, I’m planning to bring limited seasonal bouquets throughout the summer and into fall during bread pickups. Every week will look a little different depending on what’s blooming in the garden.
Early season bouquets will likely feature:
- Peonies
- Snapdragon
- Garden foliage
- Herbs and textured greens
Later in the season, bouquets may include:
- Dahlias
- Zinnias
- Sunflowers
- Cosmos
- Strawflower
- Native and perennial accents
The beauty of local flowers is that they truly follow the rhythm of the season. No two weeks are exactly the same.
Why This Partnership Means So Much
One of the things I love most about small local businesses is how encouraging and generous people can be with one another.
Karen has been incredibly supportive from the very beginning, and honestly, she has inspired me in more ways than one. A few weeks ago during bread pickup, I got to see her chicken setup in person. I had already been considering getting chickens for a while, but seeing her setup made me realize:
oh… maybe I actually could do this.
Now we have chickens too.

That might sound like a small thing, but it captures something I’ve been learning through this whole flower farming journey: seeing ordinary people create beautiful, grounded lives gives other people permission to try.
That kind of encouragement matters.
Thank You for Supporting Local
Every bouquet purchased supports a tiny first-year flower farm right here in Lakeville. Every loaf of bread supports a local baker pouring care into handmade food for the community.
And honestly, I think those things belong together.
If you stop by a bread pickup this summer, I hope you’ll grab a loaf, smell the flowers, and say hello.
I’m deeply grateful for all the encouragement already ❤️
